Last August 28, I was able to witness Cinema Gaming for the very first time at the Cinema of SM City Marikina. I must admit, I was not familiar with the concept initially. However, upon entering the cinema anyone present could instantly feel the competitive vibe of the gamers as they prepared to battle it out. This Cinema Gaming event was once again brought to us by SM Cyberzone. Thanks to Cyberzone for bringing this cool new form of Gaming to the malls!

It felt like watching an action movie without knowing how the story was going to unfold. Or better yet, like catching a live boxing match! With every hit and every shot fired, the sense of awe never escaped the crowd. Whenever they cheered, there was a different kind of intensity that was felt throughout the cinema's halls. From all the way at the back of the cinema, you could really feel each player concentrate on the task at hand.

Special Forces was the game played and each round was so heated that every new game of Special Forces was immensely different from the previous one played. I learned then too that teams from Visayas and Mindanao flew in to compete as well with the finalists from Manila. This two day long event was so intense. At no point in the event did the vibe slow down. Indeed, it was an experience in itself just being in the cinema to witness the action.
